Martin and Sheryl McConnon are the owner - operators of the original Tornado Potatoes – the chip with a twist.
Knowing how much Tasmanians love their spuds, Martin and Sheryl travelled the world to find this novel and tasty way of serving the up the humble spud.
Starting their business from scratch – learning the hard way, without the support of a major franchise – Martin and Sheryl were the first to bring the unique Tornado Potato home to Tasmania.
Named for its unusual spiral shape, every Tornado Potato is locally grown, dipped in our famous delicious batter, gently fried in pure cottonseed oil, before it has a final dusting of secret spices and seasonings.
Tornado Potatoes only use the best quality produce - so you can really taste the difference.
Tornado Potatoes is a family owned business that employs local Tasmanians. We buy all our spuds locally with the majority of our potatoes
coming from our friends at Daly Gourmet Potatoes at Marion Bay.
